We recently crunched airfares across weekends and holidays to find which home cities are likely to offer you better prices than others. We pulled together all of the wallet-friendly insights into this infographic that shows which are the best US cities for travelers to live in and which are the worst.
The results were surprising to say the least. Here are some highlights.
- Overall, Atlanta is the best city to fly from. Seattle is the worst. Nothing Boeing, Amazon or Microsoft can do about that.
- As if living in Miami was not a vacation in itself, you are likely to get the cheapest fares when flying from there to popular destinations within North America. Miami also had the maximum (eleven!) cities you can fly to for under $300.
- For the budget conscious traveler looking to get somewhere for under $300, do yourself a favor and get out of the Big Apple. Despite New York being one of the busiest airports in the world, it had just two popular destinations within that price.
So before you take dream job in a new city, use this infographic to factor in the cost of traveling out of there so you can make an informed decision.
